HipHopDX Exclusive Premiere: Ren Thomas has built a preceding reputation as an unrelenting battle MC, recognized as a Ludacris’ Magnum Live Large Semi Finalist (2012), EOW USA Champion where he placed third worldwide (2013), and EOW USA Runner-Up (2015). In his most recent victory, he beat out hundreds of competitors spanning the furthest reaches of the globe to take the TeamBackPack 2016 Cypher Championship at MUNY’s (Mission Underground New York) annual conference in Bushwick this summer.
Now, Ren returns with “Lifted Up,” the second single off his upcoming album Lord Sear Presents I Been Nice. The record, produced by and co-starring Ren’s long time collaborator, Tab, is a funky, upbeat, chorus driven song about being inebriated. The video, shot and directed by Sam Ranks, contains live footage from his performances.
