Keep an ear on California emcee, Zee Will. The 25-year old has shown his ability to merge imaginative lyrics over infectious production. “Arcade” is the latest example of that marriage. It’s one-part throwback, one-part timeless, 100% undeniable.

“‘Arcade’ is what happened after Jukebawks, the producer of the song and myself got caught trying to blend older sounds and melodies with some contemporary ideas,” Zee Will explains to HipHopDX Exclusively.

Director Daniel Ramos says the break down at the end of the song provided the inspiration for the full the visual.

“I pretty much came up with the idea for the video by starting from the end and working my way to the beginning,” he tells DX. “What you see in the video is actually my thought process in reverse, I knew for sure I wanted to get crazy with colorful effects at the end and from there, ZeeWill and I worked together on making up a believable story to fit everything that would lead up to the video’s creative climax.”
