Toronto native Jimmy Prime arrives on the scene with the first single off his fresh new project Block Boy EP. Jimmy Prime who at one point in time use to go by Jimmy Johnson seems to aim at reinventing his sound, image and name with the unveiling of this new music. This morning the NYC based publication company The Fader premiered the debut of the mixtape through SoundCloud along with the visuals for Jimmy’s lead single “Can’t Stop Myself.” With his permed hairdo while driving an all red ATV, Jimmy looks like he’s ready to hit the road and let the wind go through his hair. “Can’t Stop Myself” is a fun track that is held down with auto-tuned vocals and catchy one liners. For instrumentation for his new project Jimmy Prime acquired beats from Texas Native Eric Dingus. According to his interview with Fader, “I want to illustrate to people I’m having more fun while creating”, Says Jimmy, “and that my music is evolving and growing for the better, while also making sure it is going with the vibe of right now, which is summer.”
