The furthering culture of multi-talented individuals keeps listeners on edge and visionaries inspired to continue their growth. Standing out from this pool of tomorrow’s leaders is singer/rapper/producer Kweku Collins. The Illinois-based creative has an infectious sound that appeals to a range of ears with a gratifying effort. After delivering the guitar-stricken “Delilah,” produced by Stefan Ponce and Julian Bell, Collins readies his forthcoming Nat Love project with the first leak off the anticipated composition.
Entitled “Ghost,” the self-produced melody absorbs an energy that leaves chills. Although the soundscape is at a minimum, each compartment is paramount to the tone of the track. As the down tempo drums and bass line are brought to the forefront, the voice of Collins speaks volumes on the message(s) embedded within. Take a listen for yourself, above.
