When asked the inspiration behind the track, St. Michael stated:
“Red Bull Studios in LA invited me out to create in their space. I told the The Triiiads to come thru and bring some heat, we went thru at least 10 beats and when I heard the production for Van Ness Ave I jumped up & dialed in. The lyrics are a reflection of me in the streets of California, from rolling down Van Ness Ave wit some homies, to coolin in Venice Beach & speaking into existence…for example “Grammy Nominated.” In a time where there is so much bad in the world I made sure to create a song that pulls you into a good mood and away for all the political bull.”
St. Michael is slated to drop his upcoming project, Black Swan Theory, on February 5 so be on the look out for that.
