Formerly Y-O, the Seattle-born emcee comes up for air with the first EP installment of his 3-part Black Swan Theory series. Assembled into 5 tracks, the sonic goodness swoons as Michael brings live instrumentation to the table.

Starting the project is “Black Swan Theory,” an easy listening wrapped in a reggae soul aura. Although the project doesn’t fully embody a reggae sound, it does exude versatile sounds, full of soul and light. Michael shines as his cadence doesn’t tower over the soundscapes, yet flows instantaneously with the direction of the waves. With features from Bad Lucc and Polyester, the blooming emcee captures the essence of a “laidback Westside” feel, with style and groove. Take a listen for yourself above.
