Now admittedly I listened to the Suit side of Nelly’s double CD release, mainly because I think of myself as an OG laid back kinda cat, in any case, here is my account of the events that take place on the Sweat side of the latest from St Louis’ poster child.
Now we have all heard “Flap Ya wings,” which is not one of my personal favorites but it has its moments. I say this disc catches steam and flows smoothly through the middle section starting with track 5, “River Don’t Runnn,” featuring Stephen Marley, who sounds so rhythmically and refreshing as only a true Jamaican can, and Murphy Lee joins in on the spittin within the harmony it all gels together and the schoolboy almost steals the show, showing that he’s right on Nelly’s heels as far as great songs are concerned. Then on Track 6, “Tilt Ya Head Back,” featuring the sassy stripped mami herself Christina Aguilera the flow continues. Hey, say what you want, but, Christina can sang her ass off and Nelly compliments her smoothly.
What comes next children? Track 7 of course, which showcases Fat Joe, Young Tru and Remy Martin hits kind of hard and decent lyrically on all of the participants parts but fail in the production area. The lyrics alone make this one worth a listen.
“Getcha Getcha” gives the St Lunatics a chance to redeem themselves as a whole unit and does an aiight job. Get ya lyrical weight up . Now the masses just have to be reintroduced to the squad as a whole. They have all matured and would probably stun the public with a pretty attractive and well-rounded release if they were to get the chance to release a second disc as a team. Which inevitably will happen.

Suit is still my play for a better disc but Sweat does its thing as well.
