Young Thug‘s ongoing YSL RICO trial has drawn comparisons to The Office after the rapper was filmed with an exasperated look on his face.
After the courtroom moment went viral on Tuesday (April 16), fans began comparing Thug to a familar scene from the hit sitcom where John Krasinski’s character Jim Halpert stares into the camera looking fed up.

Posting the clips side by side, one fan on X (formerly Twitter) joked: “Who did it better? Jim Halpert or #youngthug.”
Another said: “Boy Thug think he in a episode of The Office or sumthin [crying face emoji].”
The moment came as the court was discussing exhibits of evidence for the lengthy and controversial trial, which accuses Thug’s YSL (Young Slim Life) collective of being a criminal street gang.
It was recently confirmed that Gunna will not take the stand in the trial after the prosecution were forced to reduce their witness list.
There were originally over 700 named witnesses put forward by the state, but now only around 200 could be called to take part in the trial.

Gunna’s name was removed from the revised witness list, as was Lil Wayne‘s and Thug’s brother Unfoonk, who was previously sentenced to over nine years in prison.
Notable names that may also still be called to testify include Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman and Thug’s previous close collaborator Rich Homie Quan. YFN Lucci is also on the witness list.
Gunna previously accepted a plea deal in the case, while Young Thug has remained behind bars since his arrest in May 2022.
The plea deal led to accusations that the “Fukumean” rapper had snitched on his longtime friend, something he has repeatedly denied.

Following his release from jail, Gunna attempted to set the record straight, saying: “While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” he said in a statement following his release from jail.”
Gunna also recently revealed that he and Thugger are still friendly in his first interview since his controversial plea deal.
