The “Yeah!” singer’s recent media domination (a Las Vegas residency, a Super Bowl appearance, and a new album), along with his recent wedding, means that his past is being re-examined, including his early 2000s relationship with Thomas.

Usher, for his part, got married earlier this month to longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea.
On Wednesday (February 14), PEOPLE shared exclusive photographs of the R&B icon and his music executive partner of five years. In the shots, the newly wed couple can be seen embracing each other lovingly following the Super Bowl.
“We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegas surrounded by close friends and family,” a representative for the Atlanta superstar shared. “They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.”
A few hours later, Usher shared additional photos from their special night, writing in the caption: “One of them Ones [diamond ring emoji] 2.11.24.”
