Suge Knight‘s 28-year prison sentence apparently isn’t going to stop him from sharing his views with the public.
On Friday (October 20), TMZ reported the news that Knight is teaming with Dave Mays, co-founder of The Source, for a new podcast.
The show, titled Collect Calls With Suge Knight, is set to launch on October 31, with a “sneak peek” of the first episode coming one week prior.

Mays provided TMZ Hip Hop with a statement about the show, saying: “As we celebrate Hip Hop’s 50th year, more than ever the Hip Hop community needs a media platform that they can trust to bring a truthful and authentic perspective on so many important things happening in our world. I’m proud that Breakbeat [Media, Mays’s company that is putting out the show] provides this essential and valuable medium.”
“And I’m so excited to be able to enlist the help of my longtime friend and one of Hip Hop’s most formidable, pioneering, and fearless leaders to help Breakbeat continue to achieve this goal. Collect Calls With Suge Knight will awaken Hip Hop fans worldwide and build bridges across multiple generations.”
A trailer for the podcast hints that Knight will address his many feuds with Hip Hop figures. Names shown in the trailer include former Death Row artists Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg; Dre’s stepbrother Warren G (whose decision in the mid-1990s to sign to Def Jam reportedly made Knight very upset); Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine; Akon; Master P; Blueface manager Wack 100; and more.
“Every time you turn around, everybody wanna spread some lies,” Suge says at one point in the clip.

In addition to using the show to settle old scores, Suge Knight will reportedly share his feelings about Snoop Dogg’s current ownership of the Death Row brand, connect new and veteran artists, and even plans on taking questions from listeners.
Mays told TMZ that five episodes of the show are already recorded.
