Snoop Dogg concert-goers in Houston, TX, have learned the hard way that it’s important to prepare for any type of weather condition when going to a show.
The trouble began on Saturday (August 19), where Tha Doggfather held court with Wiz Khalifa at an outdoor concert. According to SOHH, temperatures in the Texas city reached the triple digits, which meant that 16 gig-goers who attended the Cynthia Woods Pavilions were hospitalized.

While Snoop Dogg keeps on trucking with his current tour, his Los Angeles fans were left with much to be desired, when he announced last month that he was canceling his tour dates in October at the Hollywood Bowl to stand in solidarity with the striking WGA writers.

Snoop took to Instagram last month to make the cancellations official with an announcement. The two Hollywood Bowl dates featured Dr. Dre on the bill and were originally slated for June before being pushed to October with hopes of the strikes being over, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.
“We regret to inform you that due to the ongoing strike and the uncertainty when this will be over, we need to cancel the Hollywood Bowl show,” Snoop wrote.
“We stand in solidarity with all of our brothers and sisters in the WGA and SAG-AFTRA during this difficult time and remain hopeful that the AMPTP will come back to the negotiating table with a REAL proposal and we can all get back to work.”
For the most part, fans were appreciative of Snoop’s gesture to stand by the actors’ and writers’ unions and sacrifice a potential hefty show check. “Much love and respect to Uncle Snoop,” one person commented. “You’re a cultural powerhouse and your support means a LOT.”

While there were others that voiced their hope to see this kind of support go toward the homeless and starving of America at some point. “After we are done supporting the strikes, we should put this much dedication towards helping homeless and low-income people,” another person penned.
