Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s joint project generated meager album sales since its release last month, and 50 Cent has seen this as an opportunity to strike.

On Monday (December 4), the G-Unit mogul uploaded a recap of his Final Lap Tour performance in Adelaide, Australia. Though the video is mostly about the show and fans in attendance, he still managed to slip in a shot at his rivals.

“When you sold 31,009 CDs, I shouldn’t talk to you,” he says, referring to the first-week sales of Too Good to Be True.

Rozay caught wind of the slight and subsequently took to Instagram with a response, mentioning 50 Cent’s girlfriend, former video model Jamira “Cuban Link” Haines.

“I just got a DM that say, ‘Rozay, we believe 50 Cent just made a comment about you online.’ I seen it and I said, ‘Y’all don’t know 50 Cent like I do. He wouldn’t do that,'” he said.

“For one, his bitch is Dream Chasers. She’s been a Dream Chasers bitch for many years — still is. That’s when she told me I was her favorite.”

He continued: “For two: n-gga, we been rich! We still getting money. Them n-ggas was laughing at my first-week sales. They was doing a million first week and I did 150, 180 [thousand] and they was laughing.”

“But you smell that saltwater, right?” he asked, panning the camera to his lavish outdoor pool. “Don’t let them n-ggas trick you. Biggest!”

Soon after the release of Too Good To Be True in late November, Meek Mill reacted to its first-week sales projections on social media. The LP was estimated to move between 30,000–35,000 units in seven days, which was lower than some fans’ expectations.

Regarding that, the Philly rapper explained that he’s playing a different game than the one most industry professionals submit to as he and Ross “own” the album.

“It’s says me and Ross on pace to sell 35k first week I would post if it said 350k… I’m too nice and rich to be rapping in a control music environment that’s why we dropping music on Fridays it’s doesn’t make sense,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Now we all own our music we getting the tech built to put people on our own musical subscriptions and we gone let direct to consumer see if rap if doing well.”

Meek went on to add that the project is going platinum in the streets: “The streets love this album too! I’m use every drop of my talent now I own 100 percent of my music now! It was top tier rap for the hustlers and winners! Tap in ‘ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE’ owned by ‘WILLIAM ROBERTS X ROBERT WILLIAMS DIRSTO [sic] BY:GAMMA.”
