Quavo has promised to pour his heart and soul into his new solo album and said he won’t be doing any interviews to promote the project.
The update comes after the former Migos rhymer declared that “2014 Huncho” was back on his new track “Honey Bun.” Quavo, who looks to be turning his pain from the loss of TakeOff into art, announced his forthcoming solo project would be titled Rocket Power in honor of his late nephew, and said he’d be giving the tape his all.

“#RocketPower All My Emotions In This Album No Interviews,” Quavo wrote on Twitter.
In the song, Quavo explained that although he treasured the time he spent with Offset and Takeoff, the Atlanta trio was done and would never come back.
“Never forget that the Migos amazin’/ Look at the ice and the knots in my pants, you know that them young n-ggas made it,” he raps over upbeat, horn-laced production from DJ Durel.
He continued: “Came in, swept the game like a storm with the muthafucking flow, n-gga, Take did that/ So don’t ask about the group, he gone, we gone, young n-gga it can’t come back, damn!”
News of a new Quavo record also comes after Takeoff was shot and killed outside a Houston bowling alley on November 1. According to police, the 28-year-old rapper was an innocent bystander in a dice game involving Quavo and other men, which escalated into an argument and, tragically, a shootout.

“Greatness” was Quavo’s second drop since TakeOff’s passing, and came on the heels of “Without You,” which he released in January. The 31-year-old performed the song alongside the Maverick City Music choir at the 2023 Grammys Awards in February, which saw him hold Take’s chain as a photo of his late nephew consumed the onstage screen behind him.
