Post Malone has been shouted out by Allen Iverson after his debut single “White Iverson” surpassed a billion streams on Spotify.

The streaming platform debuted the second episode of its show Billion Club: TheSeries on Monday (August 14), where Posty was honored for having his 10th song join the coveted Spotify Billion’s Club. The episode showed Post celebrating the inclusion of “White Iverson” by partaking in a game of beer pong backstage at London’s O2 Arena.

“It feels super cool that the song does connect with people, and I’m just happy to bring… you know joy into anyone’s life when I can,” Post Malone told Spotify. “It’s an amazing feeling for me, and that really gave me the confidence and the courage to keep attempting to do what I love. I just appreciate all the support, and it’s the most beautiful feeling in the world for me. Thank you.”

In a special video response, the 2001 NBA League MVP followed up Posty’s comments with a congratulations and told Malone to never stop doing what he’s doing.

“Congrats on 1 billion Spotify streams,” Iverson said. “The whole world loves this song and I’m honored to be a part of it. Keep that same form, Post.”

Allen Iverson had previously responded to his name drop back in 2016, and said that “White Iverson” was “awesome.”

“I want to meet him,” the basketball player said about Post Malone while talking to Complex. “He did an awesome job. I was just telling my friend on the way over here that when we get in the car, we hear [‘White Iverson’] at least like 10 times a day. It definitely gets a lot of record play around here. And it’s just an honor for him to make a song with my name in it.”

“White Iverson” appeared on Post Malone’s Soundcloud channel back in 2015, later serving as the lead single on his debut album Stoney. The track peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 and ultimately became one of eight RIAA diamond-certified songs for the “Sunflower” singer. The official music video has since garnered over one billion views since its release in 2015.

Post Malone most recently dropped off his new album, Austin, and told Zane Lowe at Apple Music that he was in such a better emotional state writing this record than 2022’s Twelve Carat Toothache.

“Making the last record, I was so, so, so… Well, writing it, I was so, so sad,” Post added. “But now I’m so happy and it’s definitely improved my viewpoint on life.”

Back in April, Post Malone was forced to address concerns relating to his body and stage presence after people accused him of being on drugs while on tour. But he made it clear – it’s just dad life.

“4/28/2023, Antwerp Belgium! hello everybody, i hope you’re having a great night,” he began in a video response. “I wanted to say that i’m not doing drugs, i’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i’d suppose, performance on stage.

“I’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. i guess dad life kicked in and i decided to kick soda, and start eating better so i can be around for a long time for this little angel.”
