Post Malone is requesting a judge shut down a law firm that is threatening to leak what they claim are abusive texts the singer sent to an ex.
According to a report from Radar Online, Post’s legal team filed a motion on Wednesday (November 8), stating that the firm’s motion should be denied. He said any further amendments — “including the ones threatened” by the firm — would be pointless and added that the allegations are “dead on arrival.” He also said they should go after his ex, not him.

As previously reported in March, a firm called Martorell Law sued both Post and his former partner of three years, Ashlen Diaz – who they initially aided in legal negotiations relating to her palimony (spousal support for non-married couples) upon the split in 2018.
Martorell is accusing the former couple of working out a private deal and cutting them out of their percentage of the settlement they were guaranteed from Diaz. In his formal response, Post Malone called the lawsuit baseless, noting that he had no control over Diaz and that she made her own decisions.

In the firm’s recently-filed response, Martorell firmly disagreed and said Post clearly had control over her and that they will present “hard and detailed” evidence — including images and text messages — that proves it. The purpose of this is to demonstrate that she was manipulated into dropping her firm and working out an agreement with him on the side.
Among its claims, Martorell argued: “It simply cannot be the case that one of the world’s most powerful celebrities with a documented history of physical and emotional abuse towards his romantic partner uses his power and money to deprive her of legal representation and in doing so, blatantly interferes with a contingency fee agreement robbing her attorney from being paid and gets away with it scot-free.”
Founding partner Eduardo Martorell added: “During the course of my representation of Ms. Diaz, Ms. Diaz informed me that she suffered from acts of domestic abuse during her dating relationship with Defendant Post, which I now believe to be related to Ms. Diaz’s breach of the contingency fee agreement. Ms. Diaz provided me with photographs and text messages with Defendant Post, and information relating to Defendant Post’s abuse.”
The case is still ongoing.
