Lil Uzi Vert has peeled back their creative curtain and revealed pertinent details regarding their eagerly anticipated new album, Pink Tape.
The Philadelphia rapper released the corresponding trailer for their forthcoming third LP on Monday (June 26) via YouTube. At first glance, the Gibson Hazard-directed trailer feels like an anime episode with Lil Uzi Vert as the main protagonist.

Much like how Marvel character Thanos removed Vision’s coveted stone from his forehead in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, the clip opens with a tall, ghoulish figure with horns removing Uzi’s pink diamond stone from their forehead, which transports them into their own Pink Tape universe.
From there, the rapper hops on a futuristic motorcycle and jets to an Egyptian-like temple where they fight off a set of statues who come to life. At the conclusion of the video, Lil Uzi Vert, dressed in a suit and loose American flag tie, is able to escape after retrieving their diamond stone from the scary figure from earlier in the Gibson Hazard-directed visual.

In addition, Lil Uzi Vert has also shared the sought-after release date and cover art for Pink Tape, which depicts a pink, black and white adaptation of the American flag with Uzi looking down with his arms outstretched. Uzi also rocks a coat which is identical to the background.
Pink Tape will be released on Friday (June 30) and clocks in at 26 tracks — including the previously released “Just Wanna Rock” — with pre-orders and pre-saves available now.

BNYX, who has also produced for the likes of Drake, Yeat and Ty Dolla $ign, retweeted a livestream where Akademiks spoke about the forthcoming feature.
The Philly producer confirmed that the collaboration Akademiks was speaking about would be produced by him, simply tweeting: “prod by ____? #### [salute emoji].”
Furthermore, earlier this month, Uzi also unveiled a unique chain featuring a flash drive in place of a pendant, which contains the sought-after files for Pink Tape.
“The Pink Tape, I keep it on a chain,” they said while holding up the flash drive and white-beaded chain. “It’s going to Elliot [Eliantte] tomorrow so he can put pink diamonds all on it. I keep it on a chain. This the whole Pink Tape right here, it’s on a chain.
