Lil Durk has rewarded a group of school students with $100 each after they performed with him while he was on tour with Drake and J. Cole.
The Chicago rapper recruited 12 public school children from the Pittsburgh area to perform his Grammy-winning song “All My Life” at the PPG Paints Arena this past weekend.

Dr. Kimberley Price, Coordinator of Performing Arts for Pittsburgh Public Schools, spoke to CBS about how the performance came together.
“The two schools brought 20 students from different age groups. From high school, sixth and fifth grades. Teachers gave up their weekends to be there for the kids,” Dr. Price said.
“To have a team that came together like they did from our communications department to our teachers who gave up half of a day on a Saturday, people want our kids to do well, and our kids do.”
Price also praised Durk’s behavior around the children: “He was so gracious with the kids. I wish you could have seen it. He was giving kids high fives [and] fist bumps. Originally, with the pictures, he stood to the side so the kids could get the spotlight they deserved.
“Our kids were so excited, they were crying. It was a moment I will not forget, to see the kids do so well and be treated so well by an artist. They won’t forget it either.”

She also revealed that the rapper gifted each of the children $100 after the performance.
Lil Durk was recently added to the It’s All a Blur — Big as the What? Tour as an opener for Drake and J. Cole, and will be performing with them until April.
Durk, who also goes by the “Neighborhood Hero,” previously won praise for sitting down with Chicago’s mayor Brandon Johnson to discuss ways to improve children’s lives in the city.
He also launched a scholarship fund along with Amazon Music last year to help students attend college, with the first two beneficiaries granted scholarships for Howard University.
