Lil Baby and NBA star James Harden have grown close over the years, and now Baby has revealed the foundation of their budding friendship.
TMZ caught up with the 4PF boss while he was leaving West Hollywood’s Nightingale after the 2023 Grammys on Sunday (February 5), where Baby explained that he aligned with Harden because they’re both share the same “sniper” mentality.

“He’s my guy,” Lil Baby said of the 76ers guard. “He a sniper, I’m a sniper.”
Baby also revealed he and Harden hit it off as fast friends, saying they “bonded from day one.”
While the My Turn hitmaker could’ve been referring to how they approach their respective crafts in music and basketball, it was more than likely a metaphor for their romantic abilities. After all, both men have been linked to their fare share of sought-after women.
With basketball season in full swing, the link-ups between the famous duo are less frequent. However, they did get together in December alongside Travis Scott to celebrate a friend’s birthday at a Houston strip club.

Lil Baby is a generous gift giver as well. While he didn’t attend Harden’s 33rd birthday yacht party in August, he did catch up with the NBA star the very next day and gifted him $250,000 in cash.
“I ain’t have time to get you nothing,” the rapper said after handing Harden a Goyard bag stuffed with the cash. “I know you ain’t low on no money or nothing.”
James Harden was actually named as an executive producer on Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s 2021 joint album The Voice of the Heroes, and was reportedly involved with the project from the start as Baby and Durk recorded at his home in Houston.

The 10-time All-Star won’t be playing in the NBA All-Star Game for the first time in over a decade, so Harden could have time to plan yet another trip with Lil Baby as President’s Day Weekend approaches.
