LaLa Anthony has included Nas in her top five rappers list, and he’s the only one that’s there as she has him occupying the four other spots.
During her interview with AllHipHop, LaLa gave out her picks for her top rappers of all time, and the Queensbridge rap legend held all five spots on her list.

“All-time MCs? Oh Nas, everybody knows that,” she said. “I don’t think there’s anybody — Nas is 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 for me. When it comes to lyricists and MCs and everything, I’ve been a Nas fan since I was 14, 15 years old.”
Nas being her favorite rapper may have also inspired LaLa to pursue Hip Hop in every facet, such as rapping. Before breaking onto the scene as an MTV VJ, Lala said she really wanted to be a rapper.

“It was serious. As a teenager, I really thought that’s what I was going to do,” said Anthony. “But my career, my life took a lot of different twists and turns. I’m still happy to do what I’m doing, and I’m still in the music business. It’s great to still be able to be in the entertainment music business in a different capacity.”
LaLa went on to explain that Hip Hop played an important role in her career trajectory. As LaLa stated, she got into MTV because she was a Hip Hop fan and wanted to be around music as much as possible.
“I always say Hip Hop is the soundtrack to my life,” she said. “I started my career as an intern because I was such a fan of Hip Hop, that I wanted to be around music all the time. I started interning when I was 16 years old at a radio station, just to be around music and my favorite artists. Just be able to embody that.”
Nas, on the other hand, recently received a lot of love from Irv Gotti for his 2002 single “Made You Look” off his sixth studio album God’s Son. During his visit to the Earn Your Leisure podcast, Gotti claimed there’s no better rap single than Nas’ “Made You Look.”

“‘Made You Look’ may be the best Hip Hop record. He has the best Hip Hop album and the best Hip Hop single. The best Hip Hop record might be ‘Made You Look,” Gotti declared.
When one of the co-hosts asked if it tops Nas’ 1996 hit “If I Ruled The World (Imagine That)” with Lauryn Hill, he replied: “‘If I Ruled the World’ isn’t even in the fucking sentence! [It’s a] great record, immortal, iconic; it ain’t on the fucking list as the greatest Hip Hop record!”
