Kodak Black is putting in work to ensure his family is taken care of as he continues to negotiate his freedom while in police custody.
On Sunday (January 14), Maranda Johnson took to social media to share some presents she received from her baby daddy as he remains in federal prison for violating his probation last month.

In a series of Instagram slides, she showed off a black Range Rover with a red ribbon on its hood. Additionally, the real estate agent also shared that the father of her child wired her $100,000.
In the final image, she posted a text screenshot from the “Super Gremlin” hitmaker in which he wrote: “DROP EVERYTHING . [dancing woman emoji, two running-men emojis, smoke emoji] THE WORLD STOPS WHEN IT COMES TO YOU MY BABY.”
HipHopDX confirmed with the Federal Bureau of Prisons last month that the 26-year-old rapper (real name Bill Kapri) has been placed in custody of the Federal Detention Center in Miami, FL. For now, he remains behind bars as the BOP doesn’t list a release date.
He was arrested in South Florida in December and charged with cocaine possession, tampering with physical evidence and being improperly parked. Four days later, he formally pleaded not guilty to the charges and has requested a trial by jury.

Earlier this month, the charges against him were amended after new test results indicated that he was in possession of Oxycodone, not cocaine, during his arrest.
According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel, prosecutors are now charging him with one count of Oxycodone possession and one count of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday (January 9), the rapper’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, mentioned the results of the lab report while claiming that his client has a prescription for Oxycodone.
“This was not cocaine and the officer was lying about his observations. We finally got the lab report…its oxycodone that Kodak had a prescription for and not an illegal substance,” he wrote.
“Knowing that the officer substantially misrepresented his observations, the Broward State Atty Office still filed the charged. Unbelievable and it will not be tolerated. This level of abuse of power by the arresting officer is disgusting. We will be seeking a new bond hearing and addressing these unethical practices by the police department.”

Paula McMahon, who is a representative of the State Attorney’s Office, has stated that prosecutors “will review any documentation the defense wants to send over.”
