Joe Budden has unexpectedly taken Eminem’s side in his beef with Benzino.
Discussing the recently resurrected feud between the longtime rivals on his self-titled podcast, Budden — who used to be signed to Eminem’s Shady Records as one quarter of Slaughterhouse before they fell out — made it clear he is no fan of Benzino.

“Maybe punching down is back,” the rapper-turned-podcaster said while praising Em’s “Doomsday Pt. 2” diss song. “I’m down with anybody dissing Benzino. Y’all see him coming out the pool on some bodybuilder shit with the water glistening off his body trying to be like a seal or some shit?
“Old n-ggas shouldn’t do that. He do too much shit that old n-ggas shouldn’t do. And I know he tried to bang that transgender. I don’t care what that n-gga say. I know he did!”
Budden also joked: “Now me and Em on the same side — look what you did, Benzino” before clarifying: “I ain’t never had a problem with Benzino, but Benzino do make being 50 look corny.”
Benzino was previously rumored to have been in a relationship with transgender model Shauna Brooks.
The rapper/reality star denied the claims in 2022, saying: “That Shauna Brooks thing was like three years ago. Now, let’s just have common sense alright?

“If I was fucking with a transgender and I was on the phone with ’em, don’t you think that that conversation would be all nasty as fuck? I’m saying, yeah, that lifestyle, I’m not used to. I’m not used to talking to a transgender.”
Benzino was mocked by 50 Cent over the allegations, with the former Made Men member later accusing the G-Unit mogul of being a snitch.

“He’s a rat. The n-gga been on papers. My n-gga, he snitched on Ja Rule and them a long time ago. If you don’t want the paperwork then you can’t say he’s not a rat,” he fired back.
He also said: “That n-gga’s a rat and a pussy in my book. He’s an informant and he has no morals, and he has no really good judgement. The n-gga’s a multi-millionaire and he’s posting shit about me that ain’t true. Fuck that n-gga.
“And I’ll stick my dick in his girl’s mouth, and then we can see who’s a tranny. Like, I don’t play those games, bro. Fuck that n-gga.”
As for his beef with Eminem, Benzino has since responded to “Doomsday Pt. 2” with two tracks: “Vulturious” and “Rap Elvis.”

The latter found the 58-year-old questioning Slim Shady’s loyalty to his hometown of Detroit, criticizing his career as a label owner and calling him out for his treatment of Black women.
The pair’s rivalry dates back to the mid-2000s during Benzino’s tenure at The Source magazine.
