Despite this, the Atlanta rap legend has asked for a hearing to organize a temporary parenting schedule — one which will give each parents equal time with their daughter.
Additionally, he claimed that after working out an informal custody agreement, he still hasn’t been able to see his daughter throughout much of this year. He also shot down Mai’s claims that his guns are the reason she’s kept the child from him as unfair, explaining that he’s always had guns and never put her in harm’s way.

He also said he’s been unable to FaceTime his daughter as Mai has blocked his phone number.
Last week, Mai shared footage of a special lesson she imparted on her daughter Monaco, amid The Snowman’s continued claims he’s been unable to spend time with their child.

Jeannie Mai captioned the post: “As soon as Monaco turned 2, I taught her to meditate. Meditating enhanced my life in such a tender way that I wanted to teach Monaco how to emotionally regulate as early as possible. At first, she didn’t want nothing to do with it..!”
She concluded: “Three months later, she not only asks for it, but she recently used it (watch til end) in the most wonderful way to calm her nerves. I’m moved to my core ..I’m honored to teach lil Coco all of the magic she holds within herself [prayer hands emoji, star emoji].”
Earlier that week, the Atlanta rapper petitioned the courts in Fulton County, GA, for primary custody of the child he shares with his estranged wife, which proved that their divorce battle is heating up.
According to court documents obtained by HipHopDX, the rapper (real name Jay Wayne Jenkins) filed the petition for primary custody as of Wednesday (April 10).

In the documents, the “Church in These Streets” rapper claimed that he never agreed to have Mai and 2-year-old Monaco move out of the marital home that they shared and that Mai primarily leaves the child with her mother and her brother rather than take on her care in a full-time fashion.
What’s more, Jeezy alleged that Mai “withheld” the child from him for more than two months, and he petitioned the court to allow him to take custody of her so he can raise her on a full-time basis.
