J. Cole‘s Dreamville Festival is set to commence this weekend, and his team has now shared some claims about the money last year’s event generated.
On Tuesday (April 2), a representative of the rapper shared the results of the 2023 Economic Impact Report for Raleigh, North Carolina, which is where the gathering takes place every year.

The report was prepared by Angelous Economics, with contributions from concert promoter Live Nation, Visit Raleigh, and the City of Raleigh, among others.
According to the press statement, the two-day gathering last year welcomed 100,000 fans from 50 US states and 23 countries.

Most notably, it continues, the concert series brought in over $145.9 million to Wake County, which is equivalent to 1,300+ full-time jobs.

Earlier this week, 50 Cent was added to the roster as a co-headliner amid a slight change to this year’s lineup. In early April, the festival announced that the G-Unit general will close out the opening night alongside SZA.
Drafting in the “Candy Shop” hitmaker as a last-minute, main-event act might not have been a tough ask for Cole, as the pair shared the stage at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center during the Final Lap Tour last year.

Up-and-coming Atlanta rapper Hunxho has also been added to the bill and will hit the stage the following day.
It is worth noting that Fif and Hunxho serve as replacements rather than additions as R&B stars Chris Brown and Muni Long both pulled out due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
“We are excited to share that 50 Cent and Hunxho have been added to the lineup! See you this weekend! [sunflower emoji],” the organizers wrote on Instagram. “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Chris Brown and Muni Long are no longer performing at Dreamville Fest.”
Originally announced last month, the lineup for this year’s Dreamville Festival also boasts Nicki Minaj, ScHoolboy Q, Jeezy, Sexyy Red, Lil Yachty, Rae Sremmurd and many more.

There’s also a healthy dose of Dreamville with JID, EarthGang, Bas, Cozz, Lute, Omen and, of course, J. Cole himself performing.
