President-elect Barack Obama might be the most commercialized politician in American history. Obama’s name and likeness have been in and on everything from songs to t-shirts. While it’s unlikely that Obama approved much of the commercialization, he did weigh in on which actor he wanted to portray him if a movie were ever made about his life.
Last February, Obama stated that he wanted Will Smith to play the first black president in a biopic.
“Will and I have talked about this because he has the ears!”Obama stated.
Smith is now returning the favor, saying he would play Obama in a movie if a project came along.

“If I am ordered by my commander in chief to star in a film about him, I will do my duty as an American,”Smith told the Telegrapher.
Though Smith is becoming an influential figure in American pop culture, don’t look for the Fresh Prince to quit his day job to pursue a career in politics.
“It’s a whole lot more fun to be a movie star,” he added. “That’s a difficult job being President with a whole lot of lives on the line with every decision you make. In my job I just bring joy. I don’t bring bad news. I think I’ll stay in my position for quite some time.”
