After seeing their peers shout-out Democratic Presidential hopeful Barack Obama to mixed results, a few members of the Hip Hop community are letting their clothes do the talking instead. As various design houses ramp up for fashion week, the Illinois senator is continuing to raise campaign dollars via his Runway To Change program.
Fashion items and accessories designed by Jay-Z, Pharrell Williams and Russell Simmons have been added to the Runway To Change program. All proceeds from the $60 shirts go to the Obama Victory Fund. In addition to the designs of Williams, Simmons and Jay-Z, the program features shirts and accessories designed by Beyonce and Tina Knowles, Rachel Roy and high-end designers such as Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Diane von Furstenberg. Additional information is available at the official Barack Obama Website.
