Since he hasn’t released an album in about two years, it’s easy to assume that Xzibit caught the acting bug that forces so many emcees into early retirement. But, if his cameo on Bishop Lamont‘s “Be Cool” [click to listen] didn’t convince you, X wants to make it clear that he has no plans on quitting the rap or acting game.

Fresh off of what he described as a modest opening week for The X Files: I Want to Believe, Xzibit reached out to fans via his MySpace blog to talk about his next movie and everything else on his plate for the rest of the year.

Thanks for everyone who went to support The X Files: I Want to Believe,”Xzibit says of his role as FBI agent Mosely Drummy. “It had a modest opening but a good one. It was $20 million worldwide. Hey listen folks it wasn’t The Dark Knight but it wasn’t Meet Dave either…….can you dig it?

Xzibit is currently in training for a potential movie role as a boxer. Although he was tight-lipped about the title of the film or his possible co-stars, X says the extensive training regimen of crunches, lifting and calisthenics is “kicking my ass.” While it may be quite a while before anyone finds out who Xzibit is sharing the screen with next, he was quite happy to talk about the possibility of sharing a track with another fellow actor/rapper.

“I was in the studio with T.I. the other night, my boy Caviee works with him a lot and invited me down,” says Xzibit. “Of course I put something down! He had producers there that were VERY dope, Lil C and MARS they got some heat.”
