YG has named his Mount Rushmore of West Coast rappers as part of an adorable interview with Jazzy’s World TV.
The Compton rapper was willingly cornered by Jazzy right before stepping out onto the Governors Ball stage in Queens, New York back in June.
When asked to share his favorite rappers, YG did not hesitate as he listed off Eazy E, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Kendrick Lamar and his longtime friend Nipsey Hussle.
When asked which rapper inspired him to pursue a career in music, YG instead went with Lil Wayne.

Elsewhere in the interview he also spoke about being a father, and explained the importance of holding his kids accountable.
“It’s important cause when you raising a kid, like what you teaching ’em at a young age, they gonna grow up with that installed in them. Every time I see my daughters doing something wrong, I tell ’em they doing wrong. I tell ’em why they’re doing wrong.”
He continued, “It’s very important because if you don’t shape your kids at a young age, they’re gonna grow up and be however they gonna be and it’s gonna be your fault as a parent at the end of the day.”
The interview arrives as YG gears up to drop a new album at the end of September. I Got Issues will drop on September 30 via Def Jam, and will consist of 14 songs, including the singles “Sign Language,” “Scared Money” featuring J. Cole and Moneybagg Yo, “Run” with 21 Savage and BIA, and “Toxic.” YG also recently revealed Nas will make an appearance on the record, a dream come true collaboration for the West Coast lyricist.

“He did his shit in his studio, he sent it. It was crazy ’cause I’ve been trying to get Nas on some shit for years,” YG recently told TMZ. “I was trying to get him on my second album and shit, but it just didn’t happen. But he’s been showing love since day one, he always supported my shit and all that. So when I finally got the verse, I was like, ‘Finally.’”
He continued: “The song that I got him on, it makes sense ’cause I’m popping it like I’m God’s son shit, and that’s like his shit. So when he did that shit, I was like, ‘Yeah, timing is everything.’ It was good though, I can’t wait ’til the people hear it.”
Jazzy has been on a roll interviewing top-tier Hip Hop talent this year. She also interviewed J. Cole while at Governors Ball and recently interviewed Jadakiss, where she also asked him to list his top 5 favorite rappers.
