Big Sean has given fans a glimpse at the recording studio he built at his old high school in Detroit.
In 2015, the Motor City native teamed up with adidas Originals to open the Sean Anderson Studio of Infinite Possibilities, a fully-functioning music studio at his alma mater, Cass Technical High School.

On Tuesday (August 2), Sean Don revisited the school with his pregnant girlfriend Jhené Aiko and her family, while giving his Instagram followers a tour of the state-of-the-art music facility.
The studio boasts a drum kit, drum machine, keyboards and other equipment, and is lined with plaques of Big Sean’s albums. However, the Finally Famous rapper seemed more concerned about the lack of students in the room.
“They gotta let the students use this, though,” he said in one clip. “That’s the whole point of it being here, is for the students to use this… Principal Phillips.”
Some thought Sean’s comment was a dig at the school’s principal, but he later clarified he meant no disrespect.
“I love Principal Phillips at Cass Tech by the way,” he wrote in another Instagram Story. “My fault if it got misconstrude [sic], she been family. CT #1 2nd to None.”
In another video from his high school visit, Big Sean showed off the Cass Tech Hall of Fame wall, where his face sits next to other notable almuni including legendary singer Diana Ross and comedian David Alan Grier.
Giving back to his alma mater isn’t the only good deed Big Sean has done for his city. In July, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper helped revive the Detroit Pistons’ iconic teal-colored uniforms from the late ’90s for the upcoming 2022/23 NBA season.
