While the 2022 BET Awards were in full swing at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night (June 26), Cardi B was putting her 136 million Instagram followers on on notice. According to a recent post, the Grammy Award-winning rapper’s next single, “Hot Shit,” will arrive on Friday (July 1) — but that isn’t all.

“My new single ‘Hot Shit’ available everywhere THIS FRIDAY 7/1,” she captioned the post. “Tomorrow 8pm I got another surprise for yall, tune in.”

The post included a brief 15-second teaser of the single which basically consists of Cardi saying, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah” several times over a bass-heavy beat.

It’s been four since Cardi B dropped her debut album Invasion of Privacy. Earlier this month, the mother of two promised her fans via her long-awaited sophomore effort would be worth the wait.  As part of the tweet, Cardi shared a video that combined clips from various music videos, including “Get Up 10,” “Drip,” “Money Bag,” “Bodak Yellow” and more playing in the background.
