As Young Thug, Gunna, and 28 other affiliates of their Young Stoner Life (YSL) label sit in a jail cell, Lil Baby wrote on Twitter that he’d made contact with Thugga and that despite it all he remains optimistic.
“I talked to @youngthug, He in great spirits,” he wrote with a prayer hands emoji.
It’s amazing to hear that Thugga is in good spirits considering the setbacks he’s received in the wake of being hit with RICO charges in May. Young Thug and Gunna were both denied bond earlier in May with Judge Wolf declining Thug’s bond request because he felt the Punk rapper was a flight risk. Judge Wolf also agreed with the prosecution’s concerns about Thug potentially committing more felonies if released.
Gunna was denied bond as well. Wunna’s legal team told TMZ, “Mr. Sergio Kitchens, known as Gunna, is innocent. The indictment falsely portrays his music as part of a criminal conspiracy. Mr. Kitchens has been an advocate for his community, and it is our privilege to advocate for him.”

Prosecutors claimed that Yak confessed he had given Duke a gun to use as retaliation against a local gang. The Gotti Outta Here rapper denied this on Instagram, saying in no way would he cooperate with authorities.
“2015 my brudda never did a day in jail because I claimed my shit,” Yak claimed on his Instagram Story. “I did 4 years fed with no tears! Stop the [cap].”
