The movie roles keep coming in for 50 Cent. Variety reports that the G-Unit impresario is in negotiations to star in the upcoming drama Spectacular Regret. Unlike 50‘s previous acting efforts, Spectacular Regret is said to be an independently financed drama. Variety describes 50‘s role as “a death row inmate whose imminent execution has made him a cause celebre. The drama interconnects with four Angelenos struggling to overcome past events.”

The film was written by Joshua Leonard, whose previous credits include work on The Blair Witch Project. Should 50 secure the role, it would mark his fourth such appearance. So far, 50 Cent is credited with roles in his own biopic, Get Rich or Die Tryin’, as well as Home of the Brave and the upcoming Righteous Kill.

DJ Clue is bringing his talent for breaking new artists to a new online venture with IAmAStar.com. Aspiring artists can log on to the site and submit original material for a chance to win a $5,000 cash prize, a featured spot on an upcoming DJ Clue mixtape and a 5 minute freestyle to be aired on the website.

“It’s our version of March Madness,” says Clue. “We’re gonna throw you on the next Desert Storm mixtape, and we’ll shoot you a little ghetto video to get you really popping when you’re shopping that [demo].”
