Despite an epic week that saw him sign a $150 million contract with Live Nation, marry Beyonce Knowles and gross over $9 million on his tour with Mary J. Blige, all is not well for Jay-Z. The UK paper The Sun reports that Jay-Z plans to cancel his plans to perform at the Glastobury Music Festival. According to Sun reporter Gordon Smart, Jay is unhappy with Glastonbury‘s organizers over his role in the UK’s biggest outdoor concert series. Rumors are circulating that the rapper will appear at the O2 Wireless Fesitval on July 3 instead.

“[He’s] upset organizers used his planned appearance to hype the event’s appeal to a younger and more ‘urban’ crowd,” says Smart. “He was also angered by suggestions his signing caused fewer ticket registrations than last year and the reaction to his appearance on some festival message boards.”

As of April 6, there were over 100,000 tickets sold and roughly 40,000 remaining. Michael Eavis, the founder and key organizer of the festival, denies the reports and states that everything has been smoothed out with Jay-Z.

T.I. is in final negotiations to join Idris Elba and Matt Dillon as a cast member of the upcoming movie Bone Deep. Will Packer, who serves as one of the film’s producers, tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the film is “kind of a cross between Heat and Ocean’s Eleven. A group of bank robbers find their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective.”

It is not known what role T.I. will play, but the film could help keep him in the public eye while he’s serving a 366 day sentence for weapon possession. Bone Deep is expected to begin filming this fall and released in mid-to-late 2009. T.I. will have to report to a federal prison no later than March 27, 2009, but his upcoming album, Paper Trail, is expected to also be promoted during his sentence.
