Released via Republic Records in December 2020, Man On The Moon III: The Chosen served as Kid Cudi’s seventh studio album and follow-up to 2010’s MOTM II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. The 18-track effort was produced primarily by Cudi himself and Dot da Genius, along with Plain Pat, Emile Haynie and Mike Dean, all of whom contributed to the previous two MOTM albums. Guest vocals include Phoebe Bridgers, the late Pop Smoke, Skepta and Trippie Redd.
MOTM III debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with over 144,000 total album-equivalent units sold in its opening week, becoming Cudi’s fifth Top 10 album in the process.
