Snoop Dogg will begin preparing for his ninth solo album with a whirlwind promotional campaign. Although the LP Ego Trippin’ won’t be released until March of 2008, Snoop will premiere the first single “Sensual Seduction” on BET, MTV and online distributor Rhapsody next week.

“Sensual Seduction is like a throwback feel-good song. I wanted to have fun with this one and the video is crazy,”Snoop says of his upcoming clip. The single was produced by long time Young Jeezy collaborator Shawty Redd and pays homage to some of Snoop’s personal favorites such as Roger Troutman, Rick James and Prince. Snoop’s camp says the song features him rapping as well as singing in a manner “reminiscent of the signature ‘talk box’ machine inspired by the funk sounds of Roger and Zapp.”

“Sensual Seduction” will premiere via the Internet on Wednesday Nov. 28 followed by Snoop’s Nov. 29 appearance on BET’s106 & Park, where he will introduce the accompanying video. The video was directed by Melina (Eve, “Tambourine,” Ludacris “Money Maker”) and features “vixens channeling the Mary Jane Girls and Vanity 6 while Snoop plays the leading man.”

Snoop tells MTV that his reason for limiting the guests on the album and its title are about establishing a legacy as a solo artist saying, “I’mma do the whole record, me by myself. I don’t want no guest rappers, no singer, nothing. Just Snoop Dogg. I want you to feel me. When I think of all the greats before me…I bought Rakim’s album the other day for the hundredth time, no guest rappers. I bought one of KRS-One’s albums the other day for the hundredth time, no guest rappers…This record, I’m seriously ego-tripping like, ‘I don’t want you on my album. Nah, I don’t need you.'”
