Foxy Brown has launched FreeFoxyBrown.com in hopes of staying connected with her fans while serving a one-year prison sentence for violating her probation. Foxy’s camp maintains that she is personally involved in all content on the site.
In a pre-written statement Foxy said, “I devoted my career to building an affinity with my fans who have supported me unflinchingly and no barbed wire fence or prison wall will stop that. I am in great spirits and very focused, and needed a forum to communicate with the people.” The site features ringtones, licensed merchandise and a link to write to Foxy at the Rose M. Singer Women’s Facility in East Elmherst, NY.
The rapper, whose real name is Inga Merchand, will be eligible for parole in seven months, if she is granted time off for good behavior for her detention, which began in August. Meanwhile, her Koch records debut Brooklyn’s Don Diva, is still scheduled for release on November 20.
