By now virtually everyone has heard the news that Jay-Z is planning to release his second post-retirement album, American Gangster on November 6. As HHDX reported earlier, the album will be inspired by the Frank Lucas biopic of the same name. And while Def Jam is being tight-lipped about the other details of the project, it is becoming increasingly apparent that Jay-Z will take a decidedly more street approach with this album.
It’s probably safe to assume that Jay won’t be plugging Budweiser or cavorting with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Danica Patrick when the video for his lead single, “Blue Magic” drops. Why? Because Jay and Def Jam released a trailer of the video, which Miss Info reports will be directed by none other than Hype Williams. Surely a full clip can’t be too far behind. Check the trailer below…
