For those who have grown tired of all of the Kanye versus 50 Cent hype, Stones Throw is offering another collaborative effort as well as two tours this fall. When 2K Sports releases NBA 2K8 on October 2 it will be accompanied by B-Ball Zombie War, a 20-song compilation created by Stones Throw president Peanut Butter Wolf. Although both will be sold separately, the music from Zombie War, which features Talib Kweli, J Dilla, Madlib, MF DOOM and others, will likely be incorporated into the game. This is the first Stones Throw collaboration since the highly successful Chrome Children Project with Cartoon Network.

The first of two Stones Throw tours kicks off this month with Common, Q-Tip and Percee P sharing headlining duties (see dates below). Madlib, Peanut Butter Wolf and others will round out the year with the official Stones Throw B-Ball Zombie Tour starting in November. Dates will be available later at the official Stones Throw site. Until then, Stones Throw is providing a free audio stream of “Make It Fast” featuring Guilty Simpson and the late J Dilla.
