Kanye West told millions of viewers, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” but his initial message to 2008’s presidential candidates will be decidedly milder. The multi-platinum rapper and producer recently lent his voice to Ed In ’08, a nonpartisan public awareness campaign to promote action and improve America’s public schools. West filmed a public service announcement for the campaign, which states that its goal is to “ensure that the nation engages in a rigorous debate to make education a top priority in the 2008 presidential election.” The PSA is featured below, and more information is available at the official Ed In ’08 website.
