After years of talk, the Notorious B.I.G. biopic, Notorious, is finally in the works. With casting for the film under way, conflicting reports have emerged about who will play the lead role.

Break out star Sean Kingston of “Beautiful Girls” fame claims to have snatched up the role of Biggie, but those connected to the film deny that Kingston has the part.

“When I first heard about that movie, it was through management,”Kingston allegedly said to an unidentified source. “My management told me about it and you know I had auditioned for it and I met with the director and I nailed it and he gave me a shot now at being in the movie.”

However, according to other reports, the search for the big screen Christopher Wallace continues.

“As producers of the biopic ‘Notorious,’ we felt compelled to quell the various false media reports indicating Sean Kingston has landed the coveted role of portraying ‘The Notorious B.I.G’ in the upcoming film,” one of the producers and Biggie‘s former manager, Wayne Barrow, said in an interview.

Barrow went on to add that Kingston is up for the part, but nothing is locked down as of press time.

“The role for B.I.G is 100% open and we are diligently searching for the individual to seize the moment and fill those giant shoes of greatness, everyone is being considered, including Sean Kingston but no one has been chosen.”

Notorious will be produced by Diddy and directed by George Tillman.
