Lil’ John gave Billboard the details of his long awaited Crunk Rock album, which will be his first effort sans his longtime collaborators The East Side Boyz. Listeners can expect guest appearances from The Game, Lil Wayne, Ciara and a few notable Rock artists.
“I worked with the guitar player from P.O.D., Marcos [Curiel], a punk band called Whole Wheat Bread from Jacksonville, Fla., Kid Rock and a few others,”Lil’ John revealed.
“The King of Crunk” also stopped any comparisons with similar sounding artists.
“I did [“Act A Fool”] with Three 6 Mafia in October where I say, ‘Party like a rock star, fuck like a porn star.’ Now everybody wants to be a rack star ’cause it’s cool,” he added. “My shit is real rock guitars with my beats, not keyboard guitars with ghetto beats.”
