Microsoft’s digital media player, Zune, is throwing a series of free, outdoor performances this summer in three cities across the U.S. The series will feature performances by Common, UGK, Cham, E-40, Clipse and more. The series has been dubbed, “Live At The BBQ,” and will feature what Microsoft is calling “other special guests,” such as Collie Budz and Large Professor-the former Main Source frontman who introduced Nas to a generation of hip-hop fans via a track also entitled “Live At The BBQ.”

In a recent press release, Microsoft spokespeople gave their reasoning behind the free shows, “For us it’s about connecting with that core and giving them the opportunity to participate in the Zune mantra which is to support Art, Music and Film in the digital space with technology and innovation. We want to recreate that energy with the ultimate park jam experience.” You can register for a chance to win free tickets here
