R. Kelly‘s ex-girlfriend Halle Calhoun is accusing the R&B superstar of allegedly beating her up for looking at another man on three separate occasions, TMZ reports.
Halle met the controversial R&B singer at the age of 19 and shortly began living with him. After one of his shows, he called her out for looking at another man in front of a group of people, which included Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary.
As things escalated, Halle shoved Kelly and he responded by wrapping her clothes around her neck, then throwing her into a wall. She says Kelly broke a necklace that held sentimental value to her during the attack.
Sources tell TMZ there were two other occasions where Kelly got violent towards Halle including one where he slapped her for looking at a group of men. She reportedly left him at the end of 2017 and feels lucky she “got out in time.”

A source from Kelly’s camp denies Halle’s allegations and maintains the disgraced singer is not a violent person.
The aftermath of Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly docu-series has led many in the music industry to distance themselves from him, for his label RCA Records to halt any new music releases, for his Chicago studio to be shut down and for the FBI to launch an investigation for allegedly flying out a minor.
