Dylan Thomas, a man who was shot outside a Meek Mill concert in Connecticut in 2016, has dropped his lawsuit against the veteran rapper.
According to The Blast, Thomas dropped the case on December 27, 2018. The suit was originally filed against Meek, the Oakdale Theatre and Live Nation for “allowing thugs” in the concert vicinity and cited past violence at Meek’s concerts to support Thomas’ claims.
Thomas was shot in the leg when shots were fired outside a Meek concert on December 30, 2016. He ultimately recovered, but two other people were killed in the shooting. It is unclear why Thomas chose to dismiss his suit.
Although Thomas’ case has been dropped, Meek is still facing two suits from the families of the other victims. The estates of Jaquan Graves and Travis Ward are in a legal battle with Meek for wrongful death, claiming the Maybach Music Group artist and his team didn’t enforce proper security measures at the concert venue. Their suits also mention that Meek’s lyrics promote violence.

The victims’ families have offered to settle for $6,000,000. Meek has denied any allegations of wrongdoing, saying the shooting was out of his control.
