As Layzie, Krayzie, and Wish of Bone Thugs and Harmony
prepare their comeback, former group member Bizzy Bone is on a trail of his own. Walk In My Shoes allowed Bizzy to literally walk in the shoes of
a homeless person. The experience changed the Bone Brother’s life forever.

“Wandering in my desolate state, I
had an overwhelming desire to surrender myself,”
he says of the trek. “My journey then became spiritual and my
relationship with God was personal, between me and him.”
Bizzy traveled on foot from Columbus to
his native Cleveland Ohio, enduring many miles and blisters on his feet. “I walked for a purpose. I walked for
people who have no home, fame, fortune, or glory. I walked for those people who
didn’t care whether or not I am a Grammy Award winner or sold millions of
records. I walked for the people who have no one to turn to in their time of
need. I walked for the real soul survivors.”

For those of you who enjoy the freedom of online music, the
RIAA is on a mission to crack down on internet radio. This comes on the heels
of the highly publicized arrest of DJ Drama. According to an article from Hip
Hop historian Davey D, the RIAA has struck a deal with the US Copyright Office
that will allow a new royalty payment system to go in place for online
stations. The bad news, according to Davey, is that the new (and more
expensive) fees will be applied retroactively. The change may force small,
online radio stations out of business. In his editorial, he takes the Democrats
to task for the change in rates.

“We can now thank Democrats for allowing this bullshit
rate hike to pass through without a whimper. Didn’t they say they were gonna
bring about a new day? Hasn’t Barack been calling for a new type of politic?
How can you have new type of politic that involves the people when you have
folks in the same political camp making it real expensive to have a voice in the
digital age?”

And if you don’t
watch the news…

You missed one of
the most shocking videos to hit the net in a while shows two kids, one as
allegedly just two-years-old getting their smoke on. Two teens have been
arrested as a result of the video. Don’t take our word for it, see for yourself
(we can’t make this up.)
