Jay Z and Diddy have done everything from music to movies. Now, the pair is looking at the big picture: ownership.
The
two are said to be putting together a proposal for an urban television

“The
presence of the brothers Weinstein was twofold: since they’re already
acquainted with both Comcast and the rap icons, they served as a
perfect conduit for the meeting. And if the project ever gets off the
ground, the Weinstein’s would be the money guys behind it, this source
said,”
according to a New York Post article.
Comcast
currently has a 50 percent stake in BET’s leading competitor, TV ONE ,
but the outlet lacks an on urban on demand video channel.

If the deal takes place, the Post reports that Diddy and Hov are likely to be magnets to attract talent for the proposed channel.
