Summer 2018 has been kind to Griselda rapper Westside Gunn.

Just last month he released Supreme Blientele, which is slated to be his final indie project before he begins work on his Shady Records debut. Now, it appears that he’s collaborating with international lifestyle brand New Era to release a collection of hats.

“Today a dream has come true; I’ve always wanted to be a designer … that’s one of my biggest passions,” the rapper noted via Instagram, sharing an image of himself signing the licensing agreement.

“I remember growing up in Buffalo getting shirts made in the 9th grade having my friends wear my line at 14yrs old, I’ve worked hard and never gave up,” the Fly God adds. Being the first artist from his city to sign a major label deal — alongside his brother Conway The Machine — makes the collaboration even more meaningful.

“The biggest hat company in the world which happens to be from Buffalo has given me an opportunity to take my gift to the next level … I’m about to present some of the illest hats ever made, stay tuned.”
