Four days before XXXTENTACION was gunned down in what’s believed to be a “random robbery”, two of his songs — “Changes” featuring PnB Rock and “SAD!” — were certified platinum by the RIAA.

Both tracks come from his last album, ?, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart following its March 2018 release.

PnB Rock penned an emotional tribute to his late collaborator on Instagram, alongside a video of how “Changes” was made.

“Just found out me and bro went ‘Platinum’ wit this record… it’s not even the same tho because i didn’t get a feelin of happiness when i heard but instead i just cried because we ain’t even get to share our moment together… So figured I’d share this video with y’all and share this moment with THE FANS & supporters ! to show y’all how we created it.”
