Shortly before his alleged murder, he unknowingly captured his final moments on his Instagram Stories feed.

The budding rapper first generated buzz in 2015, with his single “Colors,” while earning the top-downloaded mixtape spot on LiveMixtapes with They Know What’s Goin’ On the same year. He also has a single, “Special” featuring K Camp that has gained over 2.4 Million on the Worldstarhiphop YouTube channel. In a December 2017 interview with ThisIs50, Lonnie discusses advice he got from 50 Cent, and states his plans to buy his family a home with his first “mega-check.”

HipHopDX extends its condolences to the family and friends of Lil Lonnie. Several artists — including LL Cool J, Juicy J and Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi — also expressed sorrow on social media.
