J. Cole’s Spotify record didn’t last very long.
Just one week after Cole’s KOD broke the U.S. record for first-day streaming on Spotify, Post Malone surpassed Cole’s 36,656,086 streams in the United States and also set a new global mark on the popular service.
Spotify announced Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys LP was streamed 47,930,039 times in the U.S. and 78,744,748 globally in its opening day. The impressive numbers only add to the likelihood of Malone’s latest work topping the Billboard 200 in its first week.
The album is already eligible for platinum certification thanks to its singles, which include the smash hit “Rockstar” featuring 21 Savage.
