HipHopDX has confirmed a judge granted XXXTENTACION’s request to be let off house arrest, according to a representative at the law office of X’s lawyer David Bogenschutz. TMZ was the first to report on the judge’s decision, which will allow the Florida rapper to tour in support of his recently released ? album.
X, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, has been on house arrest since late December. The controversial artist was initially incarcerated after being hit with 15 charges of witness tampering and witness harassment. He was released with an ankle monitor later that month, allowing him to fulfill contractual obligations and record at a local studio.
